Review on The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5

Review on The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5

The Ordinary is actually extraordinary!! Guess what, I have found my new favourite - The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 !!

I am actually a hyaluronic acid lover, as I am aware of the power of hyaluronic acid in hydrating our skin. For your information, Hyaluronic Acid (HA) can attract up to 1,000 times its weight in water. HA is found naturally in the skin but its natural function is not for hydration. Many products in the market have used hyaluronic acid, but in fact, HA is too large of a molecule to penetrate the skin. Hence, it sits on the surface and draws moisture out of the skin instead, making the surface soft and hydrated temporarily, but it makes you feel like you need more HA after the product is rinsed.

So how is The Ordinary HA different from others?

The Ordinary claims that it uses THREE forms of HA with varying molecular weights, which are low-, medium- and high-molecular weight HA as well as an HA crosspolymer, to offer multi-depth hydration and visible plumping without drawing water out of the skin solely to improve temporary surface hydration. Also, they added Vitamin B5 in the formula, which enhances surface hydration and it has anti-inflammatory effect which helps to stimulate skin's healing process.

Ingredients

Aqua (Water), Sodium Hyaluronate, Pentylene Glycol, Propanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Panthenol, Ahnfeltia Concinna Extract, Glycerin, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Citric Acid, Isoceteth-20, Ethoxydiglycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol.

  • pH: 6.50-7.50
  • Oil-free
  • Alcohol-free
  • Silicone-free
  • Nut-free
  • Vegan
  • Cruelty-free
  • Gluten-free

Directions

Apply a few drops to face in the morning and night before creams. ( Note: water formulations should be applied before oil formulations) If irritation occurs, cease use and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin.

Performance

First of all, I love the simple packaging. It seems like they understood the main point of skin care - affordable yet effective. 3 drops of it would suffice for my entire face and neck. It has a scent, sort of like marshmallow or cake, I don't know, it's fine as long as it is not unpleasant to smell. It is a little bit sticky after application, which is the only downside in my opinion.

I applied it more often at night before bed as the tacky feeling after application makes it hard for me to put on my sunscreen. Therefore, I usually skip the morning dose and use my Hada Labo Hydrating Water Gel (which also contains hyaluronic acid) during the day instead. ( Feel free to have a read on my review on Hada Labo Hydrating Water Gel )

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 definitely helps my skin to retain moisture and did not cause any skin irritation or breakout. Besides, the small sized bottle is easy and convenient to bring along for vacation (30ml). Eventhough it is small, it can be used for a long time as few drops a time would suffice.

In conclusion,

Pros:

  • Affordable (Very)
  • Effective
  • Did not cause skin irritation or breakout
  • Oil-free
  • Alcohol-free
Cons
  • Leaves tacky feeling after application

Will I repurchase it?? Definitely.

Someone Smashed My Car Window in Perth

ADVICE TO ALL TOURISTS who are planning to visit Crawley Edge Boatshed or a.k.a the blue boat house, DO NOT leave any of your belongings in your car!!! Out of curiousity, I browsed through some forum and found out that a lot of tourists were victims of theft (similar to my case).

I just came back from a vacation in Perth. I just can't wait to write a blog about my devastating encounter in Perth, Australia that somehow changed my impression of this known-to-be-very-safe-place. As I know, and also from Google, crime rates in Australia are very low, although very few travellers will be victims of crime, mostly pickpocketing, the most common dangers in Australia are natural hazards and dangerous animals.

As I was going to travel around Margaret River Region where public transports are limited, I decided to rent a car for the whole trip from day 1 to end of my vacation, which included travelling around Perth city and Fremantle. I rent a MPV (Nissan Qashqai) from Thrifty and everything was fine until I reached Perth City.

I went for a photo stop in Crawley Edge Boatshed and I parked in the housing area just across the road. We thought that it was a safe place to park as there were many other cars as well. Also, our belongings were all in the car boot, none was on the seats. Then, we spent around 40 minutes for queueing plus photo taking at Crawley Edge Boatshed. Seems like this is the only tourist attraction that required long queue for photos.

Then, shit happened. We went back to our car realising the window at the back seat passenger side got smashed into pieces!! The passenger seat was brought forward, and my bag was gone!!! We were terrified, angry, my hands got sweaty and my heart was beating fast. However, to look at the good side, there weren't many valuable things inside my bag, and the other luggage and our hauls were still good. Besides, we bought car insurance from Thrifty as well, so we did not have to pay for the damage and we got to change to other car. Phewwww. We did not report to the police as well since we were going back the next day and we wanted to keep things simple. However, if you wanted to claim your loss from your travel insurance, you are required to file a police report.

It might look like we parked somewhere isolated in this photo, but actually there were many cars initially.

This is what happened to my car.

  In conclusion,

The messages that I want to deliver to all the tourists are:

  1. Buy travel insurance.
  2. Buy insurance for your car so that you don't have to pay a thing for the damages. Even if u did not run into same shit like I did, there is still possibility of damage by animals like kangaroo or whatsoever.
  3. Park near busy street or main road where other people can see.
  4. Never leave your belongings on the car seats or anywhere visible.
  5. Do not underestimate things eventhough crime rates are low. Be alert at all times.

If someone broke your car window:

  1. Take photos of the scene that show the damage done before you clean up or repair as evidence.
  2. Contact your car rental agent. Most probably you would be asked to return your damaged car at the car rental return near Perth Airport Terminal 1 and change to a new car. ( not sure about the other agency)
  3. File a police report and claim from your travel insurance.

We did not expect this to happen in a safe country. A bit disappointing, but still, I wouldn't deny that most of the people we met there were friendly and helpful. As long as you pay attention to safety and be alert at all times, it is still a nice place to visit.

Review on Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex Synchronized Recovery

Review on Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex Synchronized Recovery

I've heard a lot about Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair product on how effective and amazing it is. Even my mom is a fan of Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. So one day when I was shopping with my mom, I got carried away by the promoter's persuasive words. "Girl, you should try Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye for your dark circles, it works wonders", she said. It may not be persuasive to you, but it hits right in my jelly since I have serious DARK circles and slightly sunken eyes since high school no matter how much I sleep, and I would like to get rid of them like immediately. So there goes my "kaching kaching".

According to Estee Lauder, its 10X Concentrated Repair Technology helps repair the visible impact of lack of sleep, UV, pollution, even blue light. It's proven to reveal a bright, hydrated, visibly revived look with comprehensive benefits for the eye area:

  • REPAIRS- Dramatically reduces the look of every key sign of eye aging, including puffiness, lines and dryness.
  • BRIGHTENS DARK CIRCLES in just 3 weeks.
  • HYDRATES for 24 hours thanks to a potent hydration booster, including Hyaluronic Acid.
  • PREVENTS free radical damage with 8-hour anti-oxidant power—part of their multi-action anti-pollution defense technology.

Their exclusive ChronoluxCB™  helps promote skin’s natural repair process, which is vital for eyes that look younger, renewed and recharged. The lightweight GelCreme texture absorbs quickly, leaving skin feeling soft and silky.

Ingredients

Methyl Trimethicone , Water\Aqua\Eau , Bifida Ferment Lysate , Dimethicone , Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer , Propanediol , Petrolatum , Sucrose , Algae Extract , Hypnea Musciformis (Algae) Extract , Acrylamide/Sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate Copolymer , Butylene Glycol , Yeast Extract\Faex\Extrait De Levure , Tripeptide-32 , Sodium Hyaluronate , Lactobacillus Ferment , Sodium Rna , Citrullus Vulgaris (Watermelon) Fruit Extract , Poria Cocos Sclerotium Extract , Lens Esculenta (Lentil) Fruit Extract , Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract , Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Extract , Narcissus Tazetta Bulb Extract , Caffeine , Sodium Pca , Tocopheryl Acetate , Phytosphingosine , Trehalose , Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract , Isopropyl Jojobate , Betula Alba (Birch) Extract , Peg/Ppg-18/18 Dimethicone , Ethylhexylglycerin , Gelidiella Acerosa Extract , Tromethamine , Polysorbate 80 , Artemia Extract , Hydrolyzed Algin , Isohexadecane , Jojoba Alcohol , Jojoba Esters , Glycerin , Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer , Hydrogenated Lecithin , Polysorbate 40 , Caprylyl Glycol , Sodium Lactate , Lecithin , Bht , Potassium Sorbate , Phenoxyethanol , Iron Oxides (Ci 77491) , Iron Oxides (Ci 77492) <ILN45118>

Directions for use

Apply morning and night to clean skin around eye area.

Performance

I've been using it for around 3 months and well, I can't comment on its effect on fine lines as I do not have fine lines around my eyes. I can't comment on eye puffiness either since mine is sunken instead of puffy. But for the hydrating part, it really does work. The skin around my eyes does look soft and smooth the next day after applying. However, it does not lighten my dark circles at all, and my eyes are still sunken. (Note: I sleep 8 hours or more every night and no, I am not dehydrated.) Besides, they claimed that it absorbs quickly, but this is not the case for me. Somehow it leaves residue on my skin and it is hard for me to apply sunscreen and make up during the day. Hence, most of the time I only apply it at night, unless I decided to rot at home. Maybe this is why it doesn't work that well for my dark circles?

I would still recommend this product if the purpose of buying is not for dark circles, since there are a lot of good reviews on its anti-aging effect. I will still use it as prevention of wrinkles. Maybe in the future I might write a blog about me not having wrinkles thanks to Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex?

Overall, I am quite disappointed as it does not help with my dark circles at all.

In short,
Pros:

  • Hydrates and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth
  • Smells alright
Cons:
  • Does not brighten dark circles
  • Does not absorb quickly
  • Expensive (RM275)

Review on LuLuLun Precious White Face Mask

Review on LuLuLun Precious White Face Mask

LuLuLun is undeniably a well known face mask in Japan. As I mentioned from my other blog post, there are 2 lines available - LuLuLun and the newer LuLuLun Precious which focus more on Anti-aging.

Types for LuLuLun:
  • White- Whitening
  • Pink- Basic/ Balance Moisture
  • Blue- Moisturising
LuLuLun Precious:
  • Pink - Targets fine lines and moisturising
  • Gold - Whitening/ even skin tone
  • Green - Contains the most expensive oil among them, targeting youthful skin

This blog is about my review on LuLuLun Precious White Face mask.

The difference between the standard LuLuLun and LuLuLun precious mask is that LuLuLun Precious mask targets mature skin, and it is made from 3 layers, in which the layer full of beautifying ingredients is sandwiched between " skin absorption support layers" to create ultra thick sheets that help moisture penetrate the skin.

Precious White face mask contains multi-vitamins and 3 types of plant extract, namely Vitamin C derivatives, Vitamin E, Vitamin B3 and provitamin B5. It also contains plenty of Asai extract from nature, avocado extract and rose apple leaf extract. These ingredients brighten the mature skin. Also, it includes 2 types of hyaluronic acid that is fundamental for  plump, hydrated skin.

Ingredients

WATER, GLYCERIN, PROPANEDIOL, ASCORBYL TETRAISOPALMITATE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, HYDROLYZED HYALURONIC ACID, HYDROXYPROPYLTRIMONIUM HYALURONATE, CARNOSINE, PERSEA GRATISSIMA (AVOCADO) OIL, PRUNUS ARMENIACA (APRICOT) KERNEL OIL, EUTERPE OLERACEA FRUIT EXTRACT, HYLOCEREUS UNDATUS FRUIT EXTRACT, PEG-40 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, XANTHAN GUM, CITRIC ACID, SODIUM CITRATE , DISODIUM EDTA, PHENOXYETHANOL, METHYLPARABEN, BUTYLENE GLYCOL,

Directions for use

After cleansing your face, apply for 10-15 minutes. You can use it instead of makeup water for skin care daily in the morning and night.

Performance

LuLuLun Precious White Face Mask is available in 7 sheets or 32 sheets (I bought the one with 7 sheets). So, once you open it, there will be 7 sheets of folded masks stacked inside. You would have to separate them yourself and sometimes it might be kinda troublesome when the masks are sticking together. Besides, there may be contamination going on when you are trying to separate them. Not so hygienic, but acceptable. The size of the mask fits me well, amount of essence is so-so, but enough for 7 sheets of masks. The essence was absorbed quickly by the skin and it was not sticky as I thought it would be. Furthermore, it does not have strong unpleasant smell like some brands do. I did not get any skin irritation or breakout from the masks after 7 days of use. In fact, my skin became plump and smooth. PS: I don't lie.
For your information, my skin is combination skin (very oily at the T zone) and acne prone.
Overall, I think this is a good product and I will buy it again after I finish my KOSE babyish masks. ( I bought both LuLuLun and KOSE Babyish mask from Japan) .
In short,
Pros:
  • Effective
  • Cheap  (300Yen in Japan)
  • Odourless
  • Not greasy/ sticky
  • Did not cause breakout/irritation
Cons:
  • Need to separate the masks, thus not so hygienic. ( but preventable by washing hands)
  • Amount of essence not as much as the other masks
Will I repurchase it? Yes.

Review on Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

Review on Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

2 years ago, I bought Laneige Water Sleeping Mask because of the good reviews, and lately I also learnt that it actually won Glowpick Consumer Beauty Award. Is it really that good? Let's continue reading to find out.

According to Laneige, this water sleeping mask has:
a. Skin purifying effect:
Their SLEEP-TOX™ technology’s purifying effects help rejuvenate skin that is often fatigued and sensitized by stress during the day. It helps the skin to look well-rested the next morning.
b. Skin moisturizing:
The dense beta-glucan moisturizing shield (network) consists of active agents such as Hydro Ion Mineral Water, evening primrose root extract, Hunza apricot extracts, and more, to help skin fully absorb the goodness during 8 hours of sleep.
c. Skin soothing:
Contains skin-soothing agents that are gentle on sleeping skin, helping it recover overnight. Non-comedogenic, sensitivity tested.
d. Aromatic SLEEPSCENT™
SLEEPSCENT™ specially developed for Laneige Water Sleeping Mask is an AMOREPACIFIC original, allowing skin to relax and rest and boosting its ability to regenerate.
It is suitable for these types of skin:
-Normal
- Oily
- Combination
- Dry
- Sensitive

Ingredients

Water, Butylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Cyclohexasiloxane, Trehalose, Sodium Hyaluronate, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Root Extract, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract, Beta-Glucan, Chenopodium Quinoa Seed Extract, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Magnesium Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Calcium Chloride, Potassium Alginate, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Polysorbate 20, Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Propanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Stearyl Behenate, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, HYDROXYPROPYL BISPALMITAMIDE MEA, Inulin Lauryl Carbamate, Alcohol, 1, 2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, CI 42090

it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Phthalates

Directions

After cleansing and applying toner and emulsion, dispense an appropriate amount, about 2.5cm in diameter, and apply on the tip of the nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin in dots; breathe in the scent for 3 seconds. Then, spread gently along the texture of your face using outward strokes. After the product is absorbed into skin, leave it on overnight without washing the face. (Wash the face the next morning.) Use 2-3 times a week. You can apply a little more when your skin feels dry.

Performance

It is light blue in colour, with gel-like texture.

First of all, I would like to emphasise that everyone has different skin, so our skin would react differently to the product. For me, I don't think its performance is anything life-changing.
I did not see any changes in my skin even after applying it for weeks. Initially I wondered, is it because my skin is not dry enough for it to show its effect? is it because I'm living in a tropical country that is hot and humid, so water sleeping mask doesn't show much effect? These questions are silly, I know, but I was just wanting to like it as much as other people. Then, I went to Hokkaido for vacation, which climate was cold and super drying. To prove that Laneige Water Sleeping Mask really has that skin moisturising effect as it claims, I applied every night. Disappointingly, my face was dry and flaky. I guess Laneige Water Sleeping Mask is not for me. :(
Well, but to look at the bright side, it 'might' have that skin purifying and skin soothing effect that were not obvious enough, I do like the aromatic sleep scent, it has gel-like texture that is not greasy and it did not cause any breakout.
In short,

 Pros:
  • nice scent
  • not greasy
  • did not cause breakout
  • affordable ( RM120)
Cons:
  • hydrating effect was not enough
  • Skin condition did not improve
Will I repurchase it? No.

Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆

Things to buy in Japan ( My TOP selections)

This is my 4th time visiting Japan, and I decided to write a blog on things that are worth buying in Japan. Here are my top selections that include cosmetics and snacks.

1. FLOWFUSHI Mote Mascara

This is the best mascara ever! I thought the previous brands I've used were good enough until I tried this one. There are different types of mascara which can be distinguished by their colours and each has own function/ effect.

  • Pink Mote Mascara : lengthens your lashes and in Natural Black
  • Orange Mote Mascara : Volumising in Deep Black
  • Gold Mote Mascara : treats and repairs lashes in Brown
  • Sky Blue Mote Mascara : has a comb wand and is in Dark Black
  • Navy Blue Mote Mascara : holds curls in place all day long in Navy Blue.
All of these formulas contain lash repair essence and fibres, and are easy to remove with warm water. It is not removable by oil cleanser, so I guess that's why it never smudged. It hardly has clot, so it results in very neat, pigmented and long lashes. I've tried their eyeliner as well, but I did not like it.

Price: Approximately 2300 Yen

2. Shiseido Eyelash Curler

It opens wide ( good for people with wider eyes), does not pinch the upper lid, and less pressure is required for a good effect.

Price: 657 Yen

3. KOSE Clear Turn Badyish Moisture Mask

This is the No.1 Selling Mask in Japan for 9 years .There are 3 types in total:
  • White - Whitening
  • Pink - Moisturising
  • Yellow - plumping
It fits well on face as it is made from high density woven cotton. It claims that it is fragrance and alcohol free, well, I definitely smell something strong from the mask. But I did not get any skin irritation from that ( I have sensitive skin).

Price: 7-sheet mask : 300 Yen

4. LuLuLun Mask

LuLuLun is another top seller that I would recommend. There are 2 lines available - LuLuLun and the newer LuLuLun Precious which focus more on Anti-aging.

Types for LuLuLun:
  • White- Whitening
  • Pink- Basic/ Balance Moisture
  • Blue- Moisturising
LuLuLun Precious:
  • Pink - Targets fine lines and moisturising
  • Gold - Whitening/ even skin tone
  • Green - Contains the most expensive oil among them, targeting youthful skin
Price: 300 Yen

I've posted a review on LuLuLun Precious White Face Mask. >> Review on LuLuLun Precious White Face Mask

5. Potato Farm Jaga Pokkuru

It is made 100% from Hokkaido potatoes. There are 10 small packets per box, and taste exactly like real French fries except for the crispy texture. I'm lovin it!

Price: around 1000 Yen

6. Royce' Nama chocolate

Royce' chocolate is the most renowned chocolate in Japan and yup, I can see why. It's a Bomb! The packaging itself (interiorly) is already unique, and the taste is just sooo yummy!
Go and buy already!

Price: 660 Yen

Things to do in Phuket ( 3 Days in Phuket)

I had a 3-day vacation in Phuket, and here are some suggestions of places you can visit with limited time.

Day 1

1. Patong

Patong is the heart of Phuket, with beach and town on Phuket's West coast. It is famous for its wide variety of activities and nightlife, which is ideal for heavy partying. There are hundreds of restaurants, bars, and night clubs, lighting up the night sky of Patong. Hotels and resorts are also widely available, with walking distance to the beach.
We decided to stay in Safari Beach Hotel Patong due to its excellent location near Patong Beach, basically just across the road (1-minute walk). Safari Beach Hotel is not as luxurious or new as some other hotels in Patong, but it is acceptable since we spent most of our time out the hotel, and it is good enough for its price.

Beach

On daytime, you can enjoy fun activities on the beach including swimming, banana boating, jet skiing, parasailing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, and scuba diving. Lots of boat operators offer their boats and equipment for rent.  However, if you prefer to just chill on the beach, then you might want to try out Thai massage along with a manicure or pedicure, or work out your tan by soaking up to the sun. Sun beds, umbrellas, and deck chairs can be rented anywhere on the beach.

Nightlife

Nightime is when the crowd shifted from the beach towards Phuket's famous nightlife spot - Bangla Road. Countless bars and nightclubs with girls dancing on the table top, pole dancers, and people walking around offering Ping Pong Show (sex show) is as crazy as it sounds. If you can't stand hustlers, then it is not a place for you. It is not a suitable place for family trip as well.

Opening hours: 22:00 - late

2. Jungceylon Shopping Centre

Can't stand the hot sun? Make a visit to Jungceylon Shopping Centre, located diagonally opposite to Bangla Road. It is the largest shopping mall on the island and you can shop for Thailand's popular snacks in Big C Extra supermarket.

Opening Hours: 11:00 - 22:00
Address: 199 Rat-U-thit 200 Pee Road, near Bangla Road, Patong
Tel: +66 (0)7 660 0111

Day 2

3. Old Phuket Town

The Baba community's heritage can be seen in Old Phuket Town in its architecture, commerce, dress and way of life. The core of the Old Town essentially is made up of five roads and several 'sois' (small streets), these are Rasada Rd, Phang Nga Rd, Thalang Rd, Dibuk Rd, and Krabi Rd.

4. Wat Chalong

Wat Chalong is the largest and most visited Bhuddist temple in Phuket. You will see very elaborated, detailed architecture of the temple, which is perfect for your instagram or any other social medias. Women are required to cover their shoulders and wear pants or skirts that extend down to their knees. You might also want to wear slippers for easy removal, as shoes are not allowed in the temple.

Opening hours: 7.00am- 5.00pm

AddressChaofa Road ( West ) Chalong Phuket 83000
E-mailinfo@wat-chalong-phuket.com

5. Big Buddha

Big Buddha is an important landmark in Phuket. It sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata, and can be seen from far from Old Phuket Town and Karon Beach. The atmosphere is very peaceful, and the view from the top is ridiculously breathtaking. Eventhough the sun was burning hot, it was windy and the coconut water we bought there managed to cool us down.

Opening hours: 6.00am- 7.00pm
AddressSoi Yot Sane 1, Chaofa West RoadChalong, Phuket Town, Phuket 83100, Thailand

6. Karon Viewpoint

Karon Viewpoint is one of the most frequently visited viewpoints in Phuket. From here you will be able to take a view of Kata Noi, Kata Yai and Karon beaches. But to be honest, view from Big Buddha is way better, as there are trees blocking the view at Karon viewpoint.

Opening hours: all day
Address: 4233 Tambon Karon, Amphoe Mueang Phuket, Chang Wat Phuket 83100,      Thailand

7. Promthep Cape

Magnificent View!!! A must to visit in Phuket I must say. This rocky hill has spectacular view at any time of the day, but you must not miss the sunset.

Opening hours: all day
Address: Rawai, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket, Thailand

We rented a car for day 2 as the attractions are far from each other. To rent a car, you can book it online beforehand, or you can look for car rental at car rental booth just outside the airport.
Here is the car rental website: https://www.nationalcar.com/en/home.html

Our itinerary for day 2 is as below:
We departed from our hotel in Patong -> Old Phuket Town -> Wat Chalong -> Big Buddha -> Karon View Point -> Promthep Cape

 * make sure you schedule your time wisely so that you will be on time for sunset at promthep cape.

Day 3

Phi Phi Island

We spent our 3rd day on Phi Phi Island. Prior to this trip, we pre-booked a transfer by ferry between Phuket and Koh Phi Phi on an air-conditioned ferry. Hotel pick-up is available for the following areas in Phuket: Patong, Kata, Karon, and Phuket City. Ferry departs from Phuket to Koh Phi Phi at 8:30 AM with expected arrival at 10:15 AM, or at 1:30 PM with expected arrival at Koh Phi Phi at 3:30 PM. From Koh Phi Phi to Phuket, ferry departs at 9:00 AM with expected arrival at 10:50 AM or 2:30 PM with expected arrival at 4:15 PM.
Upon reaching Phi Phi Island, we hopped on longtail boat taxi (as shown in the photos above), which is a simple wooden boat powered by gasoline engine. Longtail boat is generally common in Thailand, and seems to be a well organized corporation, and the prices applied to tourists are agreed on.

Our ferryman stopped by picturesque destinations from Phi Phi Don to Phi Phi Leh, including Maya Bay (where Leonardo DiCaprio starred in the movie 'The Beach'), Viking Cave, Shark Point, and Monkey Beach. You will be given time for snorkeling, swimming, and sightseeing as you take in the natural beauty of Phi Phi. Also, the equipments for snorkelling will be provided by the ferryman. The whole journey took around 3 hours.

As I was taking the 2.30pm ferry back to Phuket Island, few hours for such spectacular view of nature was a bit rush. So if you are planning on staying in Koh Phi Phi, great, you can consider taking longtail boat to explore more and for longer hours.

Prices for one-way ticket to :
Ao Koh Don : 100 Baht (3 USD) Ao Lam Hin : 100 Baht (3 USD) Ao Maprow : 100 Baht (3 USD) Ao Long Beach : 100 Baht (3 USD)
3 hours : 1500 Baht, approximately 46 USD 6 hours : 2800 Baht, approximately 87 USD
Beyond six hours, you can negotiate the price.

P.S:  Watch out for sea urchin. (I got stung. T.T)
